This is a love story. ❤️
I majored in Studio Art (with a Printmaking concentration) at the University of Virginia back in the days when Ja Rule still had hits on the radio and keto eating was still called the Atkins diet. That was a while ago, and here I am still fixated on making prints! While also still doing a mediocre job at avoiding carbohydrates.
With a background in photography and graphic design (I went on to get a degree in Graphic Design from Parsons the New School for Design), and many years spent in NYC and LA, I'm very grateful to now live and operate in the small town of Santa Barbara, CA.
I moved to Santa Barbara after a chance meeting with an intuitive psychic who instructed me to set up shop in this town and start making art! I'd been contemplating a move back east at the time, and am exceptionally glad I followed her advice and put my roots down in this exceedingly beautiful beach town instead.
I'd always wanted to move to the Santa Barbara/Ojai area, but was missing my family back east and almost ready to throw in the towel and give up on CA. I'm so glad that I didn't! This region keeps me so inspired with its natural beauty and fuels me to keep creating in a way I don't think that I would anywhere else.
I absolutely love making this work and have known for as long as I can remember that making people's homes/work places feel beautiful and healing through visual art and decoration is a big part of what I came to Earth to do. 🌎
