FAQs

What kind of paper is used for your Fine Art Paper Prints?

For our unframed prints, we use thick (290gsm - 340gsm), ultra-premium fine art papers that range from smooth to more textured depending upon the print. Our giclée prints are printed on top-of-the-line Epson printers using the latest Ultrachrome archival pigment inks to ensure a richness of color and razor-sharp details. These prints are museum-grade, and with care, should last for decades! Each print has about a 1/2 inch white border that is factored into the size listed. Please contact me if you'd like a print without a white border, or with a thicker white border, both are available!

What are your framing details?

Canvases with Floater Frames:

Your framed canvas piece will be lovingly custom-built by a small studio we've partnered with that's run by a professional landscape photographer. This studio has been refining their printing and framing techniques for over 20 years, and under the watchful eye of a longtime professional artist, you can be assured your piece will be vividly printed, skillfully assembled, and packaged with the utmost care.

Your stretched canvas piece will float within a classic natural wood gallery frame that's approximately 0.375" wide and 1.25" deep. We print our canvas giclées with archival Epson UltraChrome HDX pigment inks on PremierArt Generations Satin Canvas. We also coat each canvas with PremierArt Eco Print Shield, an environment-friendly, solvent-free varnish. It provides scratch and water resistance, and UV protection, for your print. With care, these canvas giclée prints will last for generations.

We’ll also add D-rings, stainless steel Surflon picture hanging wire, and felt bumpers to the back of your stretched canvas so it’s ready to hang when it arrives.

Instead of a natural wood finish, the frame can also be ordered in white or a dark brown walnut color, please reach out if you're interested in ordering a frame in one of these finishes instead!

Traditionally Framed Pieces:

We've partnered with the highly reputable artist's favorite, Framebridge, for all of our traditionally framed pieces. Framebridge has framed over a million pieces and counting, so let's just say they know what they're doing! We've chosen the natural wood gallery frame for each piece for its classic elegance and simplicity. It's beautiful, solid wood and is sized at .75" wide and 1.5" deep. Each piece is available with or without a white mat.

Your print will come with acrylic glazing instead of glass. Although acrylic is more expensive than glass, we use it because it offers superior UV protection, shipping durability, is lightweight, and beautifully clear.

Your piece will arrive with the hanging hardware most appropriate for the size of the piece. Depending on how large your finished piece is, we'll use sawtooth hangers, hanging wire, or corner brackets. We'll also include the corresponding nails and hooks to get your piece on the wall, all you'll need is a hammer!

The print itself will be printed on Premium Lustre or Enhanced Matte paper using archival inks, and we use an acid-free mat board and foam core backing. These are built to last!

Special Note: Anything you see on the site can be ordered as either a fine art paper print, canvas with floater frame, or as a traditionally framed piece with or without a white mat.
